Home from a major audit at one of our warehouses. Strange audit, in that they asked for very detailed information in certain cases. Example: for our outside contractors, they wanted name of company, address, phone, name of our contact, AND their title. I've had auditors ask to see the contract and take down the company name and maybe the city and state, but never this much information.
To cap it off, the auditor isn't the one passing judgment as is usually the case. He has to write the report and send it to his corporate offices, then someone there reviews and gives us the yea or nay. It's been a long review process for this certification, and TPTB of the company are counting on it to expand a part of our business. I'm optimistic, but there's always that nagging doubt. Especially since during the document review, they'd come up with something totally new for us to add to our procedures each time we submitted our responses to their previous reviews.
Oh well, being in government-regulated QA is why I'm mostly bald. The grey hair I blame on the kids.
