RIP Chuck Bednarik

Hall of Fame Philadelphia Eagle of the 1950s and early 60s who was one of the last full-time two-way players in the game. He played center on offense and linebacker on defense. Bednarik led the Eagles to championships in 1949 and 1960, with a game saving tackle of Jim Taylor of Green Bay on the final play of the latter game. He also injured Frank Gifford so seriously on one tackle that Gifford missed a season and a half.

Age 89.
