Only seven weeks until Cinco de Mayo, which of course is completely different. One is an excuse to get drunk and stereotype an ethnic group in March, and the other is in May.

Wrong, one is a way for bars and restaurants to drum up business during a slow time of the year in March by hyping a largely invented holiday.
