In just under two minutes (probably one by the time I post, high school seniors will be finding out if they've been accepted to MIT.

If you are in New York City, gather around a park fountain today at 9:26 a.m. and with glow sticks in hand at 9:26 p.m. in an event organized by the National Museum of Mathematics

It appears that the log-on system for MIT is experiencing some issues - maybe too many are trying to check their status at the same time. I told my HS senior son that it's simply a test to see if he can program past the log-on errors to prove that he's worthy of going to MIT. :?

But for now, I guess we'll find out later.

In the meantime, here's a video showing how they are 'really' making notifications:

Quick update: Glitched fixed. Youngest Jaybee son did not get admitted. Over 18,000 applicants for under 1,000 places.

Fortunately, his plan 'B' has been an already confirmed full-ride scholarship to the University of Tennessee. :D

That's okay. Tennessee has a much better football team than MIT does.

I wanted to draw an avatar for this.... but then realized my characters rarely wear underwear... or anything at all.

Just use characters you've drawn for other people...like Elwood!

Of course, Elwood's guys would be the bullies...hmmm...

For some reason the UT football program has been lax in contacting him. I don't understand why - He's a big guy .....6'-3" and 135 pounds.

Congrats on the UT full ride!

Hmmm, 135 lbs? Guess he wasn't trying out for the O-Line. :-)

Yeah, but when he turns sideways and sticks out his tongue he does a heck of a zipper impersonation.
