RIP Louis Jourdan

Variety wrote:Louis Jourdan, who crafted a Hollywood acting career in the footsteps of fellow dapper Frenchmen Maurice Chevalier and Charles Boyer and is best remembered for the musical “Gigi” and as the villain in James Bond pic “Octopussy,” has died at 93. According to his friend and biographer Olivier Minne, he died Saturday at his home in Beverly Hills.

He's also one of a handful of Columbo murders who tried to off the detective upon being found out....

He was also the villain in the movie Swamp Thing, although I really only remember that movie because of Adrienne Barbeau.

And one of the few murderers Columbo told to his face that he didn't like him.

Jourdan: "You're an able man, Lieutenant. I respect that. But I don't think I care for you very much."
Columbo: "I was thinking the same thing about you. I respect your talent, but I don't like anything else about you."

Very politely, while they were eating dinner together.
