Another case of "taking fire" when it didn't happen.
Then, in his apology during his broadcast, he "misremembers" being shot down.
Pretty sure you don't forget that not happening.
Over/under says he's gone after Friday.
I'm not as sure. Liberals get passes for making up "courage under fire" as did/does Hillary and her arrival under sniper fire in Bosnia.
I'm betting this will be the same result.

Considering the company he works for, he will probably get a pass on his lies.

The pilot of the chopper he was on said they were in fact hit by small arms fire. The one in front of them was hit by an RPG, but not shot down, his was not hit.

A lot of conservatives don't even get the chance to make up stories because they weren't there to begin with, like Dick Chaney and Saxby Chambliss.

Actually, if it were just the Iraq thing, he probably would have just gotten suspended.
It's more than that. AND, with a demonstrated pattern, he will most likely lose his job.

The ease with which he lied is astonishing given his job. He didn't have any reason to lie and that makes me think he has done this before. Plus his daughter got the role in the live version of Peter Pan so he must have something that he holds over the big brass at NBC. I am sure there are many, many replacements waiting in the wings. He doesn't deserve to continue.
Is he a lawyer?

Not even close to being accurate.
Separate formations split by nearly an hour in time performing completely separate missions.
Interesting that your defense of his making up a story, repeatedly, is this.
A lot of conservatives don't even get the chance to make up stories because they weren't there to begin with, like Dick Chaney and Saxby Chambliss.
True. But did they lie about their non-service?
Would their non-service as run of the mill soldiers have equated to Hillary blatantly lying about, then excusing as a faulty memory, landing under fire as the First Lady of the United States? Me thinks the security precautions for such a person is a bit more stringent than line folk.
Which incident never occured anyway.
If so, then fair point.
If not, then not so much.
We expect politicians to lie unfortunately. We don't expect journalists to do so. And certainly not about incidents like this.

I would hope all the assholes that knee-jerk the phrase Faux News would actually do some rational reasoning and consider the ramifications of this event.
Fat chance

The pilot I interviewed on Thursday about Brian Williams is no longer standing by his story.
That pilot, Rich Krell, told me he was flying the helicopter Williams was on in Iraq -- an account now contradicted by several other soldiers.
On Friday morning, Krell told me that "the information I gave you was true based on my memories, but at this point I am questioning my memories."
What initially looked like an account that supported some of Brian Williams' war story -- that he came "under fire" that day -- no longer appears to be true

Now there's another story that he embellished his reporting on Katrina by claiming he saw the flood waters wwashing dead bodies by his hotel.
Apparently, someone checked and found the flood waters were never anywhere near his hotel.
Also he claimed his hotel was overrun by gangs and also that he got dysentary by accidentally injesting flood waters.
Dude may just be one of those guys that has to embellish everything. My dad (RIP) was one of those guys. Drove my mom nuts.

Wow! That's amazing.
From what I heard, ABC, CBS and NBC didn't even report on it. I guess it's not relevant that the anchorman of a 'major' news outlet just makes things up about his personal experience and reports them as fact. He would NEVER do that about anything else. Neither would any other main stream news outlet. (sarcafont)
The 'Main Stream' media is not news. It's reporting stories, either true, embellished or made up, or not reporting things in order to support a narrative and social agenda that they wish to advance.
Who's really Faux News?

Flock, you know better than to repeat something you heard.

Statements like this are the reason most people don't take the Tea Party types seriously. You forgot to mention how they take their orders straight from Barack Obama who gets his orders from Islamic terrorists and the spirit of Saul Alinsky.
