Fernan is also, need it be said, a trivia buff. In 2003, he qualified for "Jeopardy" and flew to Los Angeles for the show's taping. He wound up winning three episodes and a total of $58,000.

And he collected the Sad Card twice from auditions in Chicago, before getting the Happy Card--and The Call--this season.

But it's harder to add to your collection when you can't travel to NYC for those auditions.
