Well, emailed.
March 22.
He thanks Kim Il Un: when NK hacked Sony they supposedly screwed up their records. He passed the online test a year or two ago. I hope he wins big money due to a communist dictator..
The hack could be why there's been no word of this years on-line test.

If they lost the records of those they didn't flunk after we passed their darn in-person test, there's hope for so many of us.
Well, technically I don't know I flunked, right? Until 18 months have passed. Its not clear whether its 18 months since I took the qualifying test, or since my May in-person test.

They are using last year's test results to call/email people. They are not having a new online test right now because their computer systems are not all back online because of the hacking.

OK, I think I passed the test. I signed up for Detroit (which I think should be done around the same time as Chicago, because they're on opposite ends of I-94.)
However, I changed e-mail services since last year from AOL (which I only now use for spam) to Yahoo (where my important e-mail goes). Should I contact them and inform them so IF I get chosen for an audition, I'll get the information sent to the right e-mail address?

Just looked at the J! bored. Apparently some people reported getting called for auditions in NYC, which wasn't even on their city list last year-I guess they are going through the 2013 lists, too.

You say this as if it makes sense.

Just when I'd nearly given up on this dream, they start up my hopes again. Does wanting to be on the show since its Art Fleming run make a good personal anecdote? Kinda scary thinking about how long ago that is.

No, not in their eyes. They essentially don't acknowledge the pre-Trebek era, and it would just reinforce the impression that you are old. At least as bad as auditioning for today's WWTBAM and saying you're a big Regis Philbin fan.
By the way, I saw that Regis is hosting The Late, Late Show this Monday and Tuesday.

When I auditioned for Sports Jeopardy last year one guy said during the interview portion that he was 24 and this prompted Maggie to tell the group, "You don't have to say your age, but if you are 24 you should say it." So it was pretty obvious who they were looking for.

Dave Letterman will be his first guest on Tuesday. That was all over Yahoo News a few days ago.
