Buzzerblog reports Fox is partnering with Fremantle to run a new channel of classic game shows coming this Summer. It will be a subchannel on FOX rolled out in the largest TV markets in the country to start with, and will consist of largely classic Goodson-Todman shows from the Fremantle library.

This could be a great channel. I hope Charter (my cable company) gets this one. I've got GSN and watch it. It would be fun to see some of those old game shows again.

On a related note, Mark "The Beast" Labbett posted on his Twitter feed that another popular British quiz show is being proposed for American TV. This time around, it's "Pointless". No, the game show itself isn't pointless. That's the real name of it. It's like the opposite of "Family Feud", where you have to come up with the least popular correct answers to survey questions (such as "Name a Tom Hanks film" or "Name a country that begins with a vowel"). The big cash prizes go to conestants who come up with the tongue-in-cheek "pointless answers", which are correct answers that score zero points because nobody in the survey group gave them.
