Early posting today.

BD's boss has realized how much effort she puts in, especially with her autistic ward, and has given her more time at work to do preparatory stuff. So at least some of the stress is off for working this weekend, as well as in general. GW also had not realized we would be home by 4:00 on Saturday. Maybe I can manage to get the laundry in.

FSIL is actually back out on maneuvers, though in a sedentary role. He's manning the radios for whatever they're doing. He'll be on crutches for a few more weeks. No idea when those will be gone, any more than we know when he'll get out here for a visit.

Elliptical is still broken. The company that handles the repairs was good the first time we had a problem last year, not so much this time around. Their one and only (apparently) regional repair guy does not return calls. Today, I will call the warranty carrier again and let them know my displeasure. Since the dealer involved doesn't seem to have any ability to make their worker get to work, maybe they'll get cracking if their bosses from the warranty carrier get on them. I will also ask if there is anyone else doing their repairs in this area. It's been three weeks since I first called, and over two since the parts arrived and I started trying to make appointments with the idiot repair guy.

Your elliptical story sounds very similar to my sotry for the first one I bought. After that, I leanred new questions to ask prior to purchase. My second one, I bought from a place that has their own techs that are certified by the manufacturer. I even asked what happens if those people leave the store. I got a letter that says they promise to have someone at my house with-in 5 business days to repair the thing or they would pay me $50 a week for gym memeber ship.
