I can only hope this means they will stop playing that horrible commercial with him singing and humming to himself. I'm starting to have a Mary Hart reaction to that thing.

Dear Mr. Manning,
Here is a sunset:
Please ride off into it. You had a great career.
Thanks,
Everyone who doesn't want you to end up like Brett Favre

Peyton thinks even less of mangy rodents than I do, if that's possible.
And you never mess with your roomie's alarm clock. Never.

I love Peyton almost as much as I loved Elway, and I too hope he calls it quits. I know we're in for a several years long rebuilding if he leaves now, but I couldn't stand to watch many more games like today's.

Amen. I think the insurance companies have a competition to see which one can create the most obnoxious commercial without losing market share.

He had "a very productive meeting" with Elway, according to Fox. Yeah, I guess getting handed your pink slip could be called productive.
My pick for Fox's replacement: (1) Shanahan (2) Kubiak

I've adored Peyton since he played for the Vols and sincerely hope he's calling it quits too!

It turns out that Peyton has been playing the past four weeks with an injury that would sideline most mere mortals.

He was having accuracy issues prior to the San Diego game.

It must be getting around that Gary Kubiak is far and away the leading candidate to become the Broncos' head coach. On Thursday night, Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Teryl Austin decided against meeting with the Broncos in an interview that was scheduled for Friday.

Fox wasn't unemployed very long. He's now going to be head coach of the Bears, where he gets to work with another future Hall-of-Famer at quarterback, Jay Cutler.

This one still gets played, but less and less.
But now we have to have the Papa John's commercial with Joe Montana talking with his mouth full...

He's looked like shit for the past two months....before the injury.
I am thinking is is finished...Broncos have to think long and hard about hitching their wagon to his one more year.
Also ridiculous that he fired Fox and the coaching staff for this.

Gary Kubiak has agreed to become the head coach of the Denver Broncos, the team announced Monday.
Kubiak's deal is for four years, according to multiple reports. He spent the past season as the Baltimore Ravens' offensive coordinator.
Before joining the Ravens' staff, Kubiak had served as head coach of the Houston Texans. The Broncos will introduce him at a Tuesday afternoon news conference.
"Gary Kubiak has established a track record of leadership, success and high character during his 30 seasons in the NFL," Broncos general manager John Elway said in a statement Monday. "While there is no question he is a Bronco, what Gary has learned from his other opportunities around the league -- especially in his eight seasons as a head coach -- will tremendously benefit our organization.
"Having coached on three Super Bowl champions and 11 playoff teams, Gary knows what it will take to deliver another world championship to Broncos fans. Coach Kubiak is all about winning and doing things the right way, which are values that have always been most important to the Broncos and owner Pat Bowlen."
