Baseball Interleague Trivia

Given the haphazard way MLB handled interleague play up until a couple years ago, I'd always wondered about some of the system's anomalies, and found out a couple interesting nuggets this morning...
Which two of MLB's current 30 teams have played the fewest regular season games against each other? (Bonus: what makes this bit of trivia ironic?)
Every MLB team has played each other MLB team home and away, with the exception of one pairing. Which team has never played where?
And yes... I am counting Montreal/Washington as one team.

Would it be the Rangers and Cardinals? I think they have only played one regular season series (3 games in Arlington) which would mean they have played more World Series games than regular season games.
Tried to spoil but it won't work.

They are the answer to the first half. In addition to the series they played in Arlington in 2004 (which contained a rather infamous moment where an adult fan fought a kid for a foul ball), they did finally play a series in St. Louis in 2013. And yes, their 6 regular season games is fewer than the number of games they played in their single World Series matchup.
It should be noted that the White Sox and Mets would have tied the Rangers and Cardinals for this dubious distinction had they not drawn each other as their "home and home" partners during their interleague schedule in 2013. They have only met 7 times (a 3 game series and a pair of two game series)... every other possible pairing of teams has played at least 9 regular season games...
The answer to the other part of the trivia question is:
The Padres have never played in Toronto. They've played three regular season series, all in San Diego. That should finally be rectified in 2016 when, I would assume, the 2013 IL schedule will be flipped...
Of course, I guess it still isn't as odd as it taking 32 seasons for Tampa Bay to finally play a football game in Buffalo...

Now I'm glad I posted this meaningless trivia, because I was unaware we'd completely lost spoilers now. Guess I better bump Dave before LS starts up....

Real time and, if one is so inclined, swear words.

And we can act all snarky and mean out of earshot of those who don't appreciate it....

Except about the comic.

Or about ES....
How funny was it that the two cards that wound up being sent to Colorado in my blog Christmas card contest were these two?

Indeed it is. It's not concealed by a spoiler when I switch to Subsilver. --Bob
