While some suspect it's retaliatory attack from the US, I think it might just be the 8088 chips in the TRS-80 computers finally wore out.

Or, perhaps, it was a defensive move by the Hermit Kingdom. You can't attack the computers when they're turned off.

I think they stole the WebTVThingie out of lb's Neon and plugged it in.
