Well sort of: Her victory was over Ron Barber who was also shot with Gabby Giffords. Ron won the special election to finish Giffords's term and was reelected in 2012, beating McSally. Gun control wasn't a campaign issue. McSally was helped by hundreds of campaign ads from PACs that focused on Obamacare and the economy.

Missed it by that much...
Giffords and her gun control group, as well as her vocal support for Barber, were very much on the ballot for McSally.
To include getting McSally to walk back some of her words on the topic as it related to "stalking."
I did not want McSally to win but for other reasons not involving her support for the Second Amendment's primacy vs. government control.
