Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to my very best friens*. That's all of you, because I like everybody! (If you are Canadian, please accept my belated wishes for a Happy T-giving, and have a great Thursday today with fewer plates to lick.)
In fact, have an entire fantastic holiday season. I hope you fill the upcoming weeks with every possible kibble of love, hugs, and fun.
From Lizbit and my minions, BeBe and Mom.
*For those who don't know, that's how I spell that word on purpose. There never should be an "end" in a frienship.

Oh, Happy Thanksgiving, Lizbit and Ninja Warrior!
We have a fine day planned.
My Boonie and Pretty Lady are going to Old Pretty Lady's house and eat a big dinner there.
Then, they are coming home. And play with me.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving!
All y'all have a great Thanksgiving and a wonderful holiday season!
My new and hopefully very temporary avatar is from three years ago, and the bird was eaten long ago, with nothing remaining except a couple of iridescent feathers (very beautiful in the sunlight, but the sun hadn't come over the horizon when this photo was snapped). Anyway, it's the biggest turkey I ever shot.

Didn't you shoot a bigger turkey when we were bowling in Norman?

Thanks, Lizbit. Sparky had a happy Thanksgiving indeed. He and I just got back from giving him his first driving lesson. (It was on the roof level of the parking garage at my office.) --Bob

Close. He's 15. It'll be a year before I can let him practice on a public road, but this was a private (and empty) parking garage. --BobMarleysGh0st wrote:Oh, wow! Okay. I thought California lets kids get their learners permit at 15 1/2, so they can theoretically be ready to test for their license on the day they turn 16?Bob78164 wrote:Close. He's 15. Maybe it's because I'm a suburban kid, but I never thought of a parking garage as a likely spot for a first lesson!

I would think that would be illegal without the owner's permission.MarleysGh0st wrote:Okay. Farm kids drive pretty early. Littlest Spock just turned 12 and has been driving since at least he was 10-driving errands to fields and between farms for chores and so forth. It struck me one day (when he was 11) that I had never actually ridden with him to teach him in the beginning-I had simply told him to follow me to the field or whatever.Estonut wrote:I would think that would be illegal without the owner's permission.MarleysGh0st wrote:Okay. It's the garage at my office. I have a hang tag that gives me permission to be there and a card key that gives me access. And no one has ever asked to see my driver's license when I arrive. --BobEstonut wrote:I would think that would be illegal without the owner's permission.MarleysGh0st wrote:Okay. That may be. I can't say that I've looked into that yet, and he hasn't been pushing us for a license. Even that day, though, is a few months away. --BobMarleysGh0st wrote:Okay. So you're a lawyer and you think permission to park your car somewhere extends to permission for another person, an unlicensed driver, to drive there, in terms of liability?Bob78164 wrote:It's the garage at my office. Yes. We're lessees. We don't need anyone's permission to be on the property. And the only liability would be ours, if something got hit. Hell, that's even true if I hit something in the garage.Estonut wrote:So you're a lawyer and you think permission to park your car somewhere extends to permission for another person, an unlicensed driver, to drive there, in terms of liability?Bob78164 wrote:It's the garage at my office. Of course, I'm not really clear on what might get hit since the garage was empty. --Bob

These garages were empty, too.
