So, I did it

#1 Post by a1mamacat » Thu Nov 27, 2014 12:46 am

Got confirmation that the contact with a half sister is valid, so have sent off an introductory email.

Seems that it was almost a 'deathbed' confession from my birth mother. The younger brother still doesn't know, as their father doesn't want to tell him. He is not my birth father, and that generation wanted to hide and cover up "indiscretions"

Good for you!

You might want to have an mtDNA test done on both of you just to make sure.

Good move. We are keeping good thoughts for it to turn out in good ways.
