Japanese actor known as the "Japanese Clint Eastwood" for his stoic roles, very popular in Japan. He had a handful of memorable roles in U.S. films as well, including Michael Douglas' police counterpart in Black Rain, Tom Selleck's manager in Mr. Baseball, and a gangster in the terrific Robert Mitchum film, The Yakuza.

Age 83 (I'm pretty sure I got the age right this time).
