John Doar, Ex-DOJ Civil Rights Lawyer, Dies at 92
As the Justice Department's top civil rights attorney, John Doar led the battle to end segregation in Mississippi in 1962.
In 1974, Mr. Doar was the counsel of the House Judiciary Committee during the Nixon impeachment hearings. I had the privilege to meet him shortly after that, when he spoke at Princeton.
