Time for Three is a trio consisting of two violins and a double bass, brilliant musicians and superb performers.

Here's a bit from the concert sponsor's website: "Time for Three — Zachary (Zach) De Pue, violin; Nicolas (Nick) Kendall, violin; and Ranaan Meyer, double bass — defies traditional classification. Performing music from Bach and Brahms to their own arrangements of The Beatles, Katy Perry, Kanye West and Justin Timberlake, they have performed everywhere from Carnegie Hall to Jazz clubs, European festivals, NFL games and the Indy 500."

And TONIGHT, they'll be playing in the second segment of Dancing with the Stars. They'll be performing a song called "Blame" for Janel Parrish and Valentin Chmerkovskiy. I think I can tear myself away from the Stillers game long enough to watch it.

They were great! Parrish and Chmerkovskiy scored a perfect 40 Round 1, then 38 with Round 2. Inaba and Goodman both nicked them a point for awkward lifts, which of course the audience loved anyway.

It's a good thing Chmerkovskiy was scored on his dancing, not his violin playing. He opened the number with a short introduction and went flat a couple notes from the end of his turn. Apparently he studied violin when he was a kid, last night it fell a little "flat."

Tom Bergeron was as lavish as he could be with his thanks to Time for Three, but the show is about the dancers after all. They got a little screen time; I was happy with it.

Yes, he apologized very gracefully. And like the audience, I didn't mind if the lifts were a tad awkward. He and Parrish are great.
