RIP Kitty, I'll see you again one day...
Kitty was the kids' "can we have a pet, our friend has kittens" weakness I gave in to nine years ago.
Naturally, she became mine to care for after about two months when the new wore off.
Tiny little thing, loudest purr motor I've heard.
Skittish, stand-off-ish, and sweet to me.
A great lap cat (for 30 seconds at a time) and nap companion.
I would go to bed, call her, and she'd come running to jump in bed and curl up.
I had to say goodbye to her today at the vet. Stayed while she was put down and faded away.
Good girl...

Sorry, Fly. If I know you, she probably got 9 years of love she wouldn't have otherwise gotten.

Flybrick, I'm so sorry. I believe that you will meet again. In the meantime, she is in a place with many other great cats (including a large number that I have loved) and dogs that like cats. My crew alone could keep her busy and entertained while she waits for you, and no doubt Annie knows all the very best nooks for naps.

Kitty will be in good company at the Rainbow Bridge.

I'm sorry. I know that's tough. Done it three times in the last 4 years.

We do have something in common. I never thought I'd get close to cats until Mrs. SSS got us started, but we're on our third generation now.
I'm sorry to hear about that.

Sorry for your loss. Poor kitty landed in a good place for 9 years.

She will wait for you at the Rainbow Bridge. Always a comfort, though it was clearly written about by dog people rather than cat people. All that running to greet the human is just so much trouble - wait a bit and the human will pick you up.

Hugs to you and the flybrick family.

I appreciate everyone's sentiments.
Natural part of life, but absolutely gutting to see something so dependent on me and I couldn't help her.
Yes, the Rainbow Bridge will be a pain-free place for our best friends to wait for us.
