Virgin Galactic Spaceship Two has crashed

#1 Post by themanintheseersuckersuit » Fri Oct 31, 2014 1:15 pm

Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Me too.

Me 3.

I am not into the idea of space tourism. But if it comes, it comes. I am into test pilots, & any other explorers who are doing something that has never been done before (as opposed to people who feel they have to climb Everest by 'a more difficult route' or whatever) who know they are risking their lives, not losing them.
