Republicans are evil haters

Mr. Rangel, a New York Democrat, went on to say that Republicans don’t just stand in simple disagreements with Democrats over policy.

“They don’t disagree — they hate,” he said, Newsmax reported. “They think if you didn’t come from Europe 30 years ago, you didn’t even make it. Some of them believe that slavery isn’t over, and they think they won the Civil War.”

Abraham Lincoln and the Republicans of 1860 would not be welcome in the Republican party of today. Nor, for that matter would Teddy Roosevelt or Dwight Eisenhower.

I think Ronald Reagan would find it difficult to win a Republican primary. He signed tax increases as Governor of California and signed a law legalizing abortion in California. --Bob

All Republicans are welcome in the Democratic Party after they are dead for a sufficient amount of time.

Yeah yeah yeah. Funny how two of the most liberal, ultra liberal folks on this board continually pontificate on how conservatives think, act, and vote.

Are you being sarcastic? I can't tell. But what you posted has nothing to do with what he said.

However, the link you posted shows some 'motivational' literature for black voters with the bottom line theme "Michael Brown was shot by a white cop because you didn't vote". I find that insulting to the black community. If they can't see they are being played by the Democratic party machine they are even more foolish than previously thought. Ferguson, MO is a result the Democratic policies for the last 50 years of giving everything, requiring nothing but votes, to the black and other minority communities. Keep 'em down and dumb is the modus operandi of the Democratic party. And it has worked. Blacks vote in blocks for the Democratic party, and have for 50 years yet they, as a group, are not much better off than they were 50 years ago. Those that have been successful, especially those who become conservative, are ostracized by the majority black community, called Uncle Tom's, or referred to as 'not black enough'. Pitiful.

So you are saying that the term "conservative" is mutually exclusive to the black race? You are saying conservative vs. liberal can be defined, at least in part, by race?

No, I'm saying it's funny how one of the most conservative (and, coincidentally, white) folks on this board has a hissy fit about how something is an insult to the black community and how they must be even more foolish than previously thought.

And you fail to see how patronizing and disabling those flyers are. Or maybe you do, but it aligns with your beliefs about blacks in general and what their place is in your ideal society. They are right where you want them and you intend to keep them there.

Encouraging blacks to vote is "disabling." If Republicans would one time point out a reason for blacks to vote for them instead of merely claiming over and over again that they're being "used" or "taken for granted" by Democrats, they might actually do better than 10% of the black vote.

And I've been reminded by Republicans dozens of times that a vote for the Democratic Senate candidate Michelle Nunn will put us at risk for Ebola and terrorism (by pictures of terrorists and workers in quarantine suits accompanied by a claim that she'll be a rubber stamp for Obama), so I'm not sure how this is any different.

Most people would count their blessings if they "fail to see" what you see.
