Game Day is coming to Oxford !!

We are extremely pumped up about Game Day making it's first visit to Oxford this Saturday. The Grove has been named the #1 Tailgating experience by multiple media outlets over the years and now we have the #1 college football pre-game show joining us. In fact, I had a speaking role two years ago when The Travel Channel produced a show featuring the top ten college tailgating spots. If you saw that show, I opened the Ole Miss segment when they asked me to sum up The Grove in one sentence and I replied "The Grove is one hundred year old oak trees surrounded by twenty year old beautiful women". We still hang a framed screen shot from that program in our tent that proclaims us number one. I have to announce a high school football game that Friday night (Homecoming no less) but we will be pulling out at 3:00 AM so that we will arrive in Oxford just before the sun comes up so that we can start doing the setup of our double tent home for the day. If you happen to see a tent area with a big red & blue sign designating us The Lauderdale Rebel Club and a six foot inflatable shark flying overhead, that is my group.
I have no doubt that we will the party this Saturday (we are undefeated in that area) but those red devils to the east have always been our nemesis. One encouraging thing is I just heard on SEC network that this is one of the few times that the red devils are less than a touchdown favorite. I hope it stays close and it should. Our defense is only giving up 8 points a game which is third best in the FBS. I fully expect things to be crazy up there.
