Hmmm...which of these is a "vocation"? (I've been to Hooker, OK).

There's only one major character in "Twilight" with a female name, so it's not that. Not likely to rhyme with "Korea", and given the increasing secularization of our culture it's probably not the Bible, so that only leaves "D".

In the pilot episode (the one where Cliff teaches Theo about money using a Monopoly game) there's a scene that goes something like this - Cliff comes home from the hospital and Claire asks him "Why do we have four children?", to which Cliff replies, "Because we didn't want five." At that time there were only Rudy, Vanessa, Theo and Denise. Sondra was introduced later.

Allyson was in my audition group in Naperville this past summer (she was the "other" auditioner who never received an e-mail either good or bad). My son and I had the privelege of spending half an hour or so with her while we were killing time between the written test and the interview, and it didn't take long at all for me to figure out that she was a pretty good bet to get the call. She was every bit as bright, personable, and attractive in person as she was on the show, and I consider myself fortunate to have met her (and to have been able to keep in touch with her since...not everything about Evil FB is evil). I will hold off on anything more for now, as I am making another attempt to bring her on board here...hopefully it will work this time...

This was great. The Plus One eliminated A and D. How, she didn't say. Between Katy Perry and Adele, Allyson knew somehow that it was Adele. Also, it was great when Terry joined in the hand holding. I really like this new host.

As for me, ATA.

AlphaDummy, what time was your audition group? I was in the 7am group and the 1pm callback.

So its not just me, I never heard from the Raleigh Audition.
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Same group...I was the older of the father/son pair in the interview room, if that rings a bell. (I was also one of the people who were called up to the stage to dance for a T-shirt before the written test...I would like to think I busted a couple of pretty good moves up there, much to the chagrin of my son). Allyson was also in our 7 AM test group (should have used that word rather than "audition" in my earlier post...sorry 'bout the confusion) but she was called to interview before us - she waited all the way through and never left the theater lobby, while Dan and I went out for a quick lunch after chatting with her...she was still around and they apparently had an opening, so...

Looking back over your posts, I just now caught who you were (not sure how I missed it before)...caught your interaction with themanwho when you called him by name and it caught my attention at the time. Would have been nice if the dynamics of the process had been more conducive to post-interview hanging out...so it goes...

Oh, this is frustrating. I remember a father/son, but now I can't remember what you look like! This is embarrassing. But everything was kind of a blur that day.
