Reposting this article about terrorist recruitment in the Somali community in Minnesota.

Started thinking about what these Somali kids see every day. The face of America to them is an urban, liberal, female social worker steeped in multiculturalism. This demographic is obviously not one that presents a strong face of American Culture. They are not exactly Bakken oilfield workers in their cultural confidence.

Those kids would do so much better if we just sent in more guys like this one to present a strong face of American Culture to them:

Ha ha ha-that is so far from what these kids see that maybe a little wouldn't hurt. As I said, they see the liberal social worker demographic as the official face and the unofficial face they see tends to fall into the urban gang side of the spectrum.

If they are looking for structure and meaning in their lives, I submit that radical Islam is a rational choice given what they see of the US.
