I haven't seen any comments on the changes this season. There are no categories given and the blackjack table has been changed to a split podium effect.

Well, she went big and went home. There are several references in The Simpsons to Ganesh.

So it sounds like Dani isn't in the roller derby now, but she wants to use her winnings to join? We've got a local roller derby and I wasn't under the impression that it took a large investment to join.

And while Dani's outfit was nice, I thought Terry's tuxedo with a red shirt and white collar was hideous. Is that a style, now?

So there was a fair minority of this "smart" audience who knew that Ganesh is the elephant god, while the rest were probably misled by thinking that a hoodie was the most likely item sold by a clothing store--certainly not lunchboxes or beard oil. Strip the marketing fluff from this mythology question and a plurality might actually have gotten this.

. . .
One of my Toastmasters friends was in roller derby for one season, and she was exactly the sort of person you imagine would not be in roller derby -- a little bit taller than average, thin, and hair falling nicely to her shoulders, never tied back in a ponytail. The reason she left wasn't the investment in equipment, which I recall as looking like less than $200, including the skates. What made her drop out was the time. Her work responsibilities increased, and she couldn't make it to practice anymore. Maybe Dani was intending to use the money for a housekeeper or something, or maybe there are pricey fees to join a team which go to uniforms, rink time, travel to matches, or other team costs, or maybe she didn't need the money, as Marley questioned. The teams here are able to pay for rink time with ticket sales, and I can assure you that the house is always packed for matches. I've never attended a match, but I live about two block from the rink, and sometime the parking is full up to our street.
