I hate this subject! I'd never heard of quasquicentennial, but I knew Nebraska became a state together with Kansas, before the Civil War (actually, Kansas was in 1861 and Nebraska in 1867), and the other three were later.

Marion starred in the movie about Edith Piaf, Sandra was in "The Blind Side". The 78th Oscars were in 2006, so it's probably Kate Winslett for "Titanic".

Kansas and Missouri entered at roughly the same time (the "Missouri Compromise") and Nebraska wasn't much later than that. It helps to know that "quasquicentennial" means 125th anniversary.

"Titanic" came out in 1997 and Kate Winslet did not win an Oscar for it in 1998.

You are confusing the Missouri Compromise and the Kansas-Nebraska Act. The Missouri Compromise involved Missouri and Maine and occurred around 1820 just prior to both becoming states (one slave, one free). Kansas and Nebraska didn't become states until the 1860s, after the Kansas-Nebraska Act allowed for popular vote to determine the slavery issue in the territories.

Well, I got the answer right even if the reasoning was wrong. Thanks for clearing that up.

Hmmm...well at least I got the right answer even if the rationale was incorrect.
