With that and the way they treated Condi Rice, I am so embarrassed to be a Rutgers Grad... Ray Rice should be in jail.

I presume we're not sending him vibeage for his next job, right?

The thing I'm scratching my head about it -- this isn't old news. Why did it take so long for this video to surface? (Or, perhaps the question should be who held onto it and decided now was the time to leak it?)

This seems just awful.

What it sounds a lot like to me is that the NFL and the Ravens care a whole lot more about public shaming than they do about actual domestic violence.

According to Peter King, the NFL had seen the video back in July.

So, the only thing that's changed as far as the NFL is concerned is that the video is public. Jesus.

Then there's this video. Brian Kilmeade should be fired.

For the stairs comment?

You should be fired. You are an idiot. You've said much worse things not even intending to be funny.

Where's the video of Brian Ross tying the Batman Massacre to the tea party? Was he trying to be funny? Was he fired?

Or maybe not.

Peter King today wrote:An addendum to the Ray Rice coverage:

Earlier this summer a source I trusted told me he assumed the NFL had seen the damaging video that was released by TMZ on Monday morning of Rice slugging his then-fiancée, Janay Palmer, in an Atlantic City elevator. The source said league officials had to have seen it. This source has been impeccable, and I believed the information. So I wrote that the league had seen the tape. I should have called the NFL for a comment, a lapse in reporting on my part. The league says it has not seen the tape, and I cannot refute that with certainty. No one from the league has ever knocked down my report to me, and so I was surprised to see the claim today that league officials have not seen the tape.

I hope when this story is fully vetted, we all get the truth and nothing but the truth.
Wow. Just wow.

Bob, please forgive me for not being up on the news. I had no idea you'd been hired by a major network as an on-air television personality. I've got to keep a closer eye on what's going on here on the Bored.

Michael Diamondstein, one of Rice's attorneys, said at that time that “On behalf of Ray Rice, we vehemently deny that Mr. Rice committed an aggravated assault. Both Mr. Rice and Miss Palmer are together, they are happy and they’re in counseling.”
Gotta love the lawyers.

An arbitrator has overturned Rice's indefinite suspension.

Ray Rice wins appeal

This happens often to employees who belong to a union. The boss fires or disciplines a worker, the union appeals, and an arbitrator agrees with the union. I'd be surprised if the Ravens or any other NFL team takes Rice back. Roger Goodell has egg on his face for the original ridiculous two-game suspension.

I'm not so sure. Michael Vick went to jail and he was able to find a job. --Bob
