Same-sex marriage bans unconstitutional: 7th Cir.

A Seventh Circuit panel, in an opinion by Judge Richard Posner, has unanimously affirmed two district court rulings overturning same-sex marriage bans in Wisconsin and Indiana.
The opinion's treatment of the rationales extended by the states to justify their bans -- particularly Indiana's reasoning -- is (in my view) quite funny. It's the judicial equivalent of, "They did not just say that. Did they?" --Bob
