I wouldn't want to be the cop (one of the cops) in that top-heavy contraption once the BBQ crowd gets unruly.

No, they're searching for the Clemson team. They disappeared at half time against Georgia and haven't been seen since.

The NOPD has been using those on Bourbon St. for a while. It makes sense to get up above the shoulder to shoulder crowds and see what is going on.
