Well, it's been a rough two weeks. My long-scheduled vacation occurred just as my alternate was preparing to move to a new job, and she left on the Friday before I came back. I was scheduled to be off on Monday so when I came in on Tuesday I was inundated with work that hadn't been done in my absence. Then to top it all off I came down with a cold (or sinusitus or something of that nature) and was off for two days. They won't promote me but they sure do miss me when I'm gone.
