Michael Davies On Seth Meyers Show Tonight

#1 Post by TheConfessor » Wed Aug 13, 2014 9:40 pm

Michael Davies will be on the Seth Meyers show tonight, with his soccer analyst partner, Roger Bennett.

Davies still produces some relatively low profile game shows and talk shows, but he has achieved a lot more personal fame recently with his "Men In Blazers" podcast about soccer. He got a lot of exposure reporting from Brazil for ESPN during the World Cup, and now he's moving his act to NBC TV.

Please don't take this as a snarky comment, tho it is, so take it as a snarky comment, but, really? I guess what I'm saying is, wgas? Not to you, just in general.
Well, then

Boss, let’s get outta here. There’s nothin’ but trouble for you here. We’ll take the car and drive all night. We’ll get drunk. We’ll go fishin’ and stay away until she’s gone.

This was in NO way meant "wgas" about you or what you said. It was entirely my attitude of wgas about Michael Davies and/or Seth Meyers. Must work on my delivery, as usual...
Well, then

I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Who Gives a
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Actually, misappropriated crank. One should always direct one's crank, not towards subjects for whom one gives not a shit (i.e. Davies or Meyers), but towards those for whom one boils over with frothing disdain for, thereof, like that (i.e. f*@*#*@* committee !*#*#$holes).
Well, then

I watched the show so no one here would have to, which was even more heroic than you might think, since it required watching Mickey Rourke before Michael Davies and Roger Bennett came on as the final guests. As I expected, it was all about promoting their soccer talk shtick and welcoming them to the NBC family. But they are pretty funny together and it's always nice to see people find success in other endeavors, following their WWTBAM experiences. Some American lives do have second acts.

Committees. Ugh.

Your wading through Mickey Rourke makes you eligible for some sort of plaque or medal or remuneration. Or eye scrub...
