More spoof IRS email

Looks like those spoofers pretending to be the IRS are realizing that $60 or $100 isn't enough to get people to let them steal their identity, so the numbers went up. Note the misspelling "Deparment" and the Euro-style listing of the refund amount, with a comma instead of a period.
After the last annual calculations of your fiscal activity we have
determined that you are eligible to receive a tax refund of $2839,49.
Please submit the tax refund request and allow us 3-9 days in order to
process it.
A refund can be delayed for a variety of reasons.
For example submitting invalid records or applying after the deadline.

I got a similar email a couple of months ago and emailed Snaxx about it.
Of course, I knew it was a scam but wanted to know if it could be reported.
The IRS does like to be made aware of these scams.

I'm not sure if there is a reliable estimate of how many people fall for these emails. In a recent report, the IRS said it received about 33,000 emails reporting about 1500 different schemes.

It amazes me that anyone who has the wherewithall to use a computer would fall for this stuff.
I really do think people are more aware than they are.
