Got a steroid and antibiotic shot. With hypoallergenic food to gradually introduce. Worst is that he needs to stay inside for the duration.

May Merv recover with grace & verve.

I feel I need to drag Tuck to the vet, but hates that & tried to kill the vet & himself (literaly climbed the walls) last time. But he just isn't his feisty self, even with the weather cooled off a little now. But I may be projecting the way I feel onto him.

Anyway, more Merv! More Merv!

I'm thinking Merv has felt poorly for awhile. He's crashed like a load of cement on Jeff's lap.

It's soft like a baby blanket. Got it at World Market.

Did the doctor have a diagnosis for Merv? Sounds like their treatment is general "steroid to make him feel better, antibiotic in case he's infected, diet change to see if that makes big diff". I hope there's no thing-going-round for cats this summer.

He's always had hypersensitivity to mosquito/bug bites, so his ears have been an issue for years. The repellent we got from the vet exacerbated it, so I've only been using their ointment that hinders the itch and dries the outside of the ears with the scratching, bumps, etc. out. They're still ugly looking, but not bloody like they've been in the past.

The grooming thing is new, but it very well could be a food allergy, so we're going to try to modify the diet. He's not sick at all in any way, other than eating himself bald and scratching his ears. No fleas, nuthin'. He weighs 10 pounds.

Har de har. Snort. He'd have to be a verrrry flat pancake dude to be wearing that throw. But, I must say, he would be stylin' if he were wearin'.
