TLAF Update

#1 Post by mellytu74 » Fri Jul 18, 2014 9:28 pm

A TLAF update.

She has been, for the most part, upbeat since my request for prayers.

Today. we spent two hours going over pictures over four/five generations -- Marietta's, mom's, mine and - via Facebook and Andrioid - my cousin's kids and grandkids.

She is still fatigued, which is to be expected. The compression socks work very well for the edema. The doctor juggled her dosage of medicine, which seems to have worked.

She held her legs up and said, "Look, I'm a fashion plate," when I was laughing about her socks.

Today, the husband of one of the nurses came to pick her up. Their toddler was with him. I was in the nurses' station, talking to them about new shoes for mom and the new medicine effect when they came in.

I told Maddie, the toddler, that I was going to see my mommy. SHE then wanted to see my mommy, too. So, Mom got a little visitor for a while. Which was nice.

What a lovely story. I know my grandmother delighted in visits from youngsters, even when she was past the point of delighting in much else.

Good on you for spending quality time with TLAF. It speaks well for both of you.
