Just when you thought you had seen enough Fat Chance questions over the past few months, you're going to see ten more today. This is a collection of some of the Fat Chance questions that I simply had no room for. But we'll be doing these questions a little differently. I'm going to give you all of the real correct answers to these questions. All you need to do is tell me the obvious wrong answer to each one. 16 points for each wrong answer... er, right wrong answer. That's added to your score, not taken away, as the obvious wrong answers have done the past 11 weeks. And there's your final Fat Chance bet that needs to be made.

Answers are due by Friday 7/18 at 10 PM EDT. You get 6 extra hours because I will be playing Buzztime trivia on Friday. The 7:30 PM EDT category will be GAME SHOWS! I'm aiming for a perfect 15,000 on that.

Before I get to the wrong answers, I also want to share with everybody some of the Fat Chance-style questions that I asked on Facebook during the first half of 2011. Most of you aren't on Facebook, so you've missed a lot of other interesting stuff that I have in my base of knowledge.

Some of the interesting topics covered in January 2011:
--The decade of the 2010s began on January 1, 2010. One player forfeited points by answering 2011. Decades aren't classified the same way that centuries are classified. Since there is no year 0, the years 1-9 AD and 9-1 BC aren't part of any decade at all. There is no such decade called "the aughts" or "the naughts". Wikipedia only uses that as a placeholder for the years 1-9 AD and 9-1 BC. We don't start counting decades until the year 10 (the 10s of 10-19 AD or 19-10 BC).
--Birds will not swell up and explode after eating rice. Ann Landers invented that lie in the 1990s.
--Where is the most likely place to find cocaine on George W. Bush? Not up his nose, but on his cash. About 80% of all U.S. currency in circulation right now contains an average of 16 millionths of a gram of cocaine.
--What can run faster than an average human being and have six sexual partners at one time? Not Tiger Woods or Kobe Bryant. It's an elephant seal.

February 2011 edition:
--What is a cow's biggest contribution to global climate change? It's not their farts or their manure. Their burps and their breathing contain more methane than either their farts or their manure.
--What did Nostradamus get right? Wrong answers to that question included Hitler's rise to power and the 9/11 attacks. He never predicted the future because his writings were too vague and non-specific. He did write a perfect recipe for cherry jam, though.
--Eskimos greet each other by pressing their noses and lips to another's cheek or forehead. Rubbing noses is another one of those myths created by Hollywood.
--If your goldfish is floating on its side at the top of the fishbowl, it's not dead. It's just constipated.

April 2011 edition:
--Who invented the bra? The Minoans in the 14th century BC. Otto Titzling and Philip de Brassiere were not real people. They were just names created by author Wallace Reyburn.
--A pregnant goldfish is not called a "twit" for the simple reason that goldfish don't get pregnant.
--What do you call a boomerang that doesn't come back? A kylie. (Don't believe that old punchline of "a stick".)
--Nero didn't fiddle while Rome burned... for two reasons. One, the fiddle wasn't even invented until 1,200 years after Nero died. Two, Nero wasn't even in Rome while it burned.

Now to the current questions:

1. "Who did George W. Bush wave to at the Presidential Gala in March 2002?" The correct answer is "Kelsey Grammer", not Stevie Wonder.

Robin Williams fueled this myth during his popular 2002 HBO comedy special, "Live on Broadway". Now Bush has done a lot of retarded things over the years. Waving to Stevie Wonder was never one of them. Yes, I do realize that "retarded" is not a politically correct word. Then again, there's nothing in the Bible that says I'm required to be politically correct. Only correct. Hmm... only correct, "Only Connect". I'm surprised it took me this long to bring up that rhyme.

2. "The first line of a famous Mother Goose poem goes, 'Find a ____, pick it up.'" The correct answer is "pin", not penny.

3. "The name of the group that Americans fought in the Vietnam War were the Viet _____." The correct answer is "Minh", not Cong.

"Viet Cong" was a term wholly invented by the CIA because they thought it sounded scarier than "Viet Minh".

4. "What is the only sweet treat at your local supermarket that has an indefinite shelf life and will stay fresh forever?" The correct answer is "honey", not Twinkies.

Contrary to popular belief, Twinkies only have a shelf life of 25 days.

5. "In what country do its citizens regularly eat dogs?" The correct answer is "Switzerland", not any East Asian country--especially not China.

Suggesting that Chinese people eat cats and dogs is both a myth and a racist stereotype that stems from the fact that East Asians do not recognize the concept of keeping animals as pets. To them, animals are just animals. As for the Swiss, they only eat dogs that die naturally. They don't breed dogs for slaughter and consumption, as one would breed cows or pigs.

6. "Why would large groups of naked men in ancient Rome jump up and down together?" The correct answer is "because they were exercising", not because they were gay.

This is where we get the word "gymnasium". "Gymnazo" is Greek for "to train naked".

7. "What animals have their ears on their tongues?" The correct answer is "woodpeckers", not snakes.

Snakes don't have ears, period. They can detect heat and movement with their tongues, but not sound.

8. "Which of the 50 state flags is legally allowed to fly at the same height as the U.S. flag?" The correct answer is "all of them", not none of them or just Texas.

There has never been a law stating that Texas is allowed to do that as a compromise for the republic being annexed to the United States. Strangely enough, Texas' flag code follows the federal flag code to the letter. And there has never been a law stating that any state flag is prohibited from flying at the same height as the U.S. flag.

9. "What will penguins do when an airplane flies directly over their heads?" The correct answer is "run away", not fall backward.

This myth was propagated by the Audubon Society via a Mexican newspaper in 1985 after a Royal Air Force pilot flew over the Falkland Islands and alleged that he saw thousands of penguins fall over on their backs while staring at low-flying airplanes. Penguins hate loud noises, so they will run away from the overhead airplanes rather than stare at them.

10. "Who first said, 'There, that oughta hold the little bastards!'?" The correct answer is "Kermit Schafer", not Uncle Don Carney, Captain Kangaroo, or any other kiddie show host.

The myth of supposed over-the-air obscenities during kiddie shows has been around since at least 1930.
