What will you do to help with your health and fitness this week?

I'm going to the Shell Houston Open. So I will do a lot of walking and wear sunscreen. And I will do situps at home.

I will have good news and bad news for the Doc when I see him tomorrow for my usual six month visit.
He will chew my a** for the weight gain since last visit.
He will like it when he listens to my lungs.
I hope I can be taken off my medication (small dosage water pill) as I do not care to take any pills of any kind.
Work atmosphere better this morning as the examiners are doing their exit interview. They have been here a little over two weeks. They never bother me but "some" around here get wound up so tight that they can't function. I had all of my "problem" loans identified and with a plan of action and they concurred with all. Lot of new "rookie" examiners and it is always fun to see how they view certain loans and what kind of questions they ask about the loans.

Yay for Kusch! Keep up the good work.
I'm still fighting a semi-cold. My chorale did our performance of Messiah (the Easter version) last night. It went very well, we had a great audience and wonderful soloists and orchestra.
All that singing didn't help my throat, as it is much more irritated today than it was yesterday and I'm coughing more. My boss even asked me if I didn't need to go home and rest. I took him up on his offer.
I have a surprise trip (surprise to me....I'm only going along as company to Natalie & she just asked me to go yesterday) to North Carolina this weekend and I need to get over this before then.

Meatloaf is one of my faves with baked potato and green beans, always. Not a real fan of leftover meatloaf sandwiches, but I will eat them.
Ok, what is in your meatloaf. All ground beef or beef + something else, or no beef at all? Oatmeal or crackers or something else for fill. Do you put a hard boiled egg in the middle? No way on that for me--we do have a raw egg in the mixture. Tomato juice or tomato sauce? Ketsup on top before baking? Man this made me hungry!!!

Hard boiled egg in the middle? That's anew one on me. I like to use half oatmeal and half cracker crumbs when I make it. Definitely a couple of raw eggs mixed in with it....gotta have chopped onions and I prefer just beef and not a mixture of meats.
I use tomato juice and put tomato sauce on top...ketchup is a bit too sugary when it bakes and tends to burn.
Unfortunately, no one in my family likes meatloaf. I only make it now when I go to Louisville and make it for my mother. It freezes well and makes several meals for her to have on hand after I'm gone.

Meatloaf? I lovelovelove meatloaf, any kind, made any way. I love it.
It is the best invention that two-footers ever invented, except maybe Mr. Mozart's music, and I might have to think about that a minute.
I wish my mom would make meatloaf every night of the year and always give me leftovers. Firstovers are okay, too.

After the Doc update:
Ya, up 15lbs since last visit 6 months ago---no shocker from me, but he did chew on my a**. He really really really liked the no smoking thing. So I ask him a question I knew the answer to---"wtf do you want doc, no smoking and extra weight or less weight and smoking, make up your mind"? You know what he told me.
BP was down and all other #s were just fine.
Back in six months and my goal is to have more than that 15 off.

If'n it makes you feel any better, I did put on about five pounds so far with the quit, but now that I'm into my third month of not smoking, I'm eating more normally again. I don't feel as antsy so I'm not as snacky.
You'll level out. Hang in there!
As for my weekly resolution, obviously I'm going to stay with the quitting. I haven't decided what I'm doing with the ciggie slush fund yet. I think I'll be buying myself a really stupidly expensive purse when I hit the 6 month mark. I've wanted one of those suckers for years but couldn't justify it. Which is just as well, because I would have ruined it if I'd had it while I was smoking and made it smell like an ashtray. (*ick*) I have my eye on a nice little Kate Spade number.
For the now, I'm going to resolve to either walk home from work (about half an hour from the train station) or hit the gym each day for the rest of the week. I'm 3 for 3 so far so it's doable.

LOL. So you start with the suitcase and work your way up to the matching garment bag and carryon tote.
I'm a girl. I like friggin purses. I thought about a pair of ridiculously high end shoes but that was too impractical. At least I'll use a nice handbag.
What stupid thing have you wanted for years that you wouldn't buy yourself because it was too goofy? I figured if I took the money I am not spending on the death sticks and spent it on something practical, it wouldn't be any fun. I wanted to buy something stupid on purpose, because I never buy things that are stupid.
I'm already $300 to the greater good.
My sig other has bigger dreams. He's currently not-smoking his way to a 50something inch flat screen HDTV. I don't actually want it in our living room, but that was the rule, we could spend our quit money on whatever we wanted. Okay, maybe not strippers. But anything else was fair game.
