I am glad I saved room in the top ten

My top ten favorite (not greatest) movie list is kind of fluid, when I see a movie that belongs-I just know it.

1) "Second-hand Lions"-Edges out Breaker Morant (barely)-But this is my always and forever favorite movie(until its not).

2) "Breaker Morant" -was the long-time favorite, but I just have to put Lions above it.

3) I just bought and watched "Wild Geese" which I only saw once on TV in the early 80's. This has to be permanently in the Top Ten. We had ordered "Dogs of War" from Netflix-which I thought was the movie I wanted, but that was really boring and slow-moving-the 2 youngest Spocks just about revolted. Then realized Wild Geese was the one I remembered.

Others in the Top Ten-"Rob Roy", "Good Will Hunting" ,"Bringing Up Baby", "Robin Hood"(Errol Flynn), "Schindler's List", "Apollo 13, "African Queen".



"Good Will Hunting" is permanent Top Ten as is "Rob Roy" plus the 3 mentioned at the top.

I agree with Second Hand Lions. Not my #1 but a permanent Top 10.
Never saw Breaker Morant. Saw Convoy and decided to skip the rest of that genre.
Pappilion is in my permanent Top 10. Sometimes at #1.
The Great Escape is up there, too.

I love this movie. Surprisingly, Richard Burton and Richard Harris stayed sober throughout the filming, which must have been quite an accomplishment.

Doing some clicking after watching is when I found Sea Wolves. The one with Boer War vets brought out of retirement in WW2.

I was a little surprised at how old Roger Moore is-not that I had ever thought about that before. In extras they said he had his 50th b-Day during the shoot. That puts him awfully close to 90.

I assume this is a joke, but I don't get it. What genre encompasses the trial of Australian soldiers in the Boer War and American trucker escapades during the CB craze?

Oh, I guess it's a reference to "Breaker." Never mind.
