WWTBAM Bored

Well I drew the short straw so I'm working today - our chief says that "all functions have to be covered" every day, and since one of my backups is out on maternity leave and the other one asked off, I'm the one who's here. Of course it's the day before a holiday and there aren't many people working, so it's been very quiet.

We have half day Fridays during the summer. But since it is a holiday, we thought we got screwed.

Our director came through in the morning telling us that since the holiday fell on a Friday that today was a half day. She was a very popular person today!

I talked to someone in another group and they were not told this even though it is actually in the memo that came around quite awhile ago.

The director of that other group just lost a lot of good will!
