The Ultimate QoD Challenge -- Week 11, "Friday"
Round up the usual QoD suspects...
ShamelessWeasel - 100% of 124 = 124
franktangredi - 75% of 100 = 75
jarnon - 25% of 80 = 20
kroxquo - 22% of 76 = 16.72
themanintheseersuckersuit - 37% of 36 = 13.32
Bob78164 - 10% of 68 = 6.8
Bob Juch - 1% of 136 = 1.36
Weasel feels that he has nothing to lose in this penultimate week, so he's going for it all again.
Give me an exact quote that Rick said to his pianist.
Your answer is due by Monday 6/30 at 4 PM EDT. Don't worry. Just like last time, I'll post the results before I go on vacation.

Master Samuel I desireth thou playeth it anon
Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Re: The Ultimate QoD Challenge -- Week 11, "Friday"
I'm here. I was busy... ummm, writing a profanity-tinged e-mail to House Speaker John Boehner. (If you believe that, I have some swampland on the west side of Middletown that I'd like to sell you.)
Give me an exact quote that Rick said to his pianist.
First of all, neither Rick nor Ilsa ever said "Play it again, Sam"... although the rumor is that it was originally written in the script. TMITSSS had a rather creative way of paraphrasing that misquote. At least he didn't use the exact words that would have resulted in a forfeit.
"Play it, Sam" and "Play it once, Sam" are the closest that anybody actually gets to the misquote. "You played it for her, you can play it for me" is perhaps the most famous line that Rick says to Sam. There were, of course, others.
We will back on Monday July 14 for the exciting and perhaps mind-exploding conclusion of this contest. Can Bob J hold on for one final week, or will either Weasel, Smiler, or Frank swipe the championship from him? There are 800 points available for each player, so Krox and everybody below him are just like the Houston Astros: mathematically eliminated, but still playing for pride.
Week 11 scores
ShamelessWeasel - 44 + 16 + 64 + 124 (+ 4) = 252
franktangredi - 20 + 0 + 80 + 75 (+ 4) = 179
Bob Juch - 24 + 0 + 112 + 1.36 (+ 4) = 141.36
jarnon - 32 + 0 + 48 + 20 (+ 4) = 104
kroxquo - 12 + 0 + 64 + 16.72 (+ 4) = 96.72
Bob78164 - 20 + 0 + 48 + 6.8 (+ 4) = 78.8
