Prayer request

#1 Post by mellytu74 » Fri Jun 27, 2014 8:23 am

Kids -

TLAF is not doing so hot. Please send prayers/good thoughts for peace.

She has, as many of you know, non-alchohol-related cirrhosis. Has had it for several years.

Yesterday, when I went to visit her, she was sleeping with her ankles up. The nurses noticed edema that morning. I held her while we talked. Some of the conversation was clear - much was scrambled. Her memories were as scrambled.

I fear that, at 96, TLAF is at the end of a good life.

She told me yesterday that she was glad I was her daughter. Well, Annie Ferrante, I am glad yhat you are my mom.

Goodness, I feel like I've known her my whole life and never met her in person! She surely has had a good life and definitely has a wonderful daughter!

It's never easy and I wish you grace and peace during this difficult time.

OK. For now, compression socks and monitoring.

No fluid in lungs or stomach. No pain, nothing broken. Conversation with doc as clear as a bell. Talked about Chase Utley, his slump and last night's game being 14 innings. Edema down in one foot/ankle. She has to sit with her feet up in her recliner.

Blood and other fluid work on Monday.

As I said, Ok for now but doc & nurses will monitor.

You and TLAF have my good thoughts as well...

I shall credit TLAF for the Utley homer that won a BBBL game for me last night....

Only my best thoughts and prayers for you, TLAF, and the whole family.
