"Flight by Elephant"-The Untold Story of WW2's Most Daring Jungle Rescue.
Set on the borderlands of Burma and Assam, India.
I am enjoying the book, but I also noted with interest the select bibliography. Some interesting books there.
I am reminded of the GMF (George MacDonald Fraser) quote-"I blame only my gormless youth and the fact that there were some deuced odd characters floating around the Far East in 1945." (When he may have been suckered into running guns into China.)
I just love the idea of the deuced odd characters of the world.
