that was "stone" before the letter count got me, is passing.

Or I'd think I have another horrific illness, instead of one I already have. Well, one of the ones I already have.

skin horribleness, kidney stone, cancer, diabetes, kidney stone again....

They all actually may be related in some way. kidney & gall bladder stones (I've got one of those too) go with diabetes & vice versa. Skin crap goes with diabetes, but I had it long before any raised blood sugar levels. And I'm pretty sure the op for my particular form of cancer removed stuff the removal of which triggered the diabetes.

its "nice" that I was warned about this new stone, which did not show up on the sonogram but did on the CT scan; apparently if you have measurable amounts of blood in your urine for 4 years running, the need to do another CT scan is triggered. (As well as a scoping of the urethra; they do use local anesthetic for that, gratefully.)

Surprise! "This stone is smaller than the last, & not in a place its causing damage. Here is some positional therapy you can do" which involves lying on a couch or bed while someone pounds with a cupped hand on my back where the kidney is. This presupposes this imaginary person, since I don't have anyone recruited to do this, knows where the kidney is. My doctor did say "oh, you live alone (not exactly right but this is not among the housemate's obligations); well, here are the instructions anyway".

They also said "your 1st one didn't hurt when it passed". Yeah, actually, it did. Not so bad I had to be hospitalized, so they didn't have it on record.

All things must pass.
