The heartwarming story of a man who saved a drowning squirrel’s life by giving it CPR is capturing the attention of people around the world.
Rick Gruber, a pool man from Phoenix, Arizona, found this little ground squirrel drowning in a pool he was working at. After fishing it out, he began giving it CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), though he was careful not to use his mouth – for fear of being bitten or catching a disease.
Eventually, the squirrel showed signs of life. All in all, he spent about an hour with it before it finally felt good enough to scamper off into the wilderness.

Awwww.
I know someone who would not be afraid to use their mouth if it meant teh difference between life or death for a squirrel...

You'll be happy to know TAH saved a chipmunk a couple of weeks ago. Found half drowned in quite cold pool water, he fished the little thing out with the pool net, put the chipmunk on the pool deck. It was shivering and otherwise not moving. Not wanting a chipmunk bite, he left it to warm up in the sun and in about an hour, the chipmunk had made his way back home.
Now, the 5' snake that was in my driveway is another story. Russell said it was a chicken snake, and it slithered away into the Jasmine so it's probably still very close by! There is a photo on my facebook page.

He shouldn't have teased the snake by calling it chicken.
