Yesterday was hectic - first day of the month, first day of the week, plus first day back after a week off, so there was a lot of catching up to do as well as the usual "first of" taskers. Today I found out that our office is going to be redesigned, new cubicle furniture and new layout. We were given a floorplan and asked to give our 3 preferences for where we would sit, with a notice that not everyone will get any of their choices.
Tomorrow my oldest son goes to court for a "placement hearing" for his son (the one whose mother was arrested for leaving him and his brother in a hot car while she got "waxed" and in whose car drug paraphenalia was found). We aren't sure what the outcome will be but if the judge is reasonable, I would think that my son would at least be granted joint custody, if not more.
