Got (and missed) the phone call today! I will be calling back in the morning to see if I qualify.

Is there any reason to think you wouldn't qualify? Nothing you've revealed to us sounds like a problem, so it's probably best not to plant any seeds of doubt in their minds. Good luck!

How exciting! I got the "congratulations, you're in the pool" email this morning.

I am officially ineligible

I'll be put back into the pool for possibly a later date. It's disappointing to have this happen now during the only time I've been on a network show within the last year. But it's nice to be chosen and I certainly don't regret WOF. I will keep hope alive for a later date.

Then you had an A+ card, too, even if it was mailed as an afterthought.

All the details of TPTB's casting process are top secret, but if it's true that contestants are chosen primarily because an AP remembers someone and lobbies for that particular person (which has been my hypothesis), that may be a very bad thing for everyone still wading in the pool from the past two auditions seasons. With a mostly (completely?) new crew of producers, who are they more likely to pick, someone who just made an impression in the last couple of weeks or someone with good marks on a old file?

Almost completely new. Liz, the Supervising Producer, was an AP in 2012 (see http://wwtbambored.com/viewtopic.php?t=47825#p482944). In the 2013 Audition List, the gap from successful interview to taping was 1-3 months.
