"Ten!"
This is not the final countdown. This is just another basic QoD.
"European on My Leg and Telling Me It's Raining"
Today's game is all about Europe. Below are short descriptions of ten famous people of the past and present, each born in a different European nation. Simply tell me who I'm talking about. And then make your bet percentage on tomorrow's "Fat Chance" question about European history.
Answers are due by Friday 5/23 at 4 PM EDT.
1. The Portuguese-born Brazilian actress who danced around with fruit on her head.
2. The Italian pope who made somebody $500,000 richer 21 years after his death.
3. The Greek musician whose 1993 concert at the Acropolis is the second best-selling music video of all time and the best cure for insomnia.
4. The Swedish diplomat who didn't find any WMDs in Iraq.
5. The Swiss architect who gave us five points of architecture and several nude sketches of Josephine Baker.
6. The Czech model whose black Wonderbra said to the whole world, "Hello, boys!"
7. The Romanian basketball player who never should have co-starred with Billy Crystal in a film or with Eminem in a music video.
8. The Belgian cartoonist who created Tintin.
9. The British explorer who did not introduce tobacco to Europe (contrary to what we were all taught in school).
10. The French diplomat who actually did introduce tobacco to Europe (he did it when the answer to #9 was only 5 years old).
