3000 is too few, 6000 is too many. This is similar to the question a couple weeks ago about distance between two cities compared to distance to the earth's core. I can't be sure so I'll JTQ.

When the question about how far it is from Kalamazoo to Timbuktu came up, I had to laugh out loud at my TV. There was an exhibit at our muesum a couple years ago about Timuuktu and it was called "From Kalamazoo to Timbuktu" I figured it was either C or D.
