With the demise of The X Factor, they had a lot of holes to fill. It's interesting that Sunday night will feature live programming instead of a solid animation block, for the first time in years:

Monday

8:00 Gotham (the Batman prequel) (NEW)
8:00 Sleepy Hollow

Tuesday

8:00 Utopia (NEW)
9:00 New Girl
9:30 The Mindy Project

Wednesday

8:00 Hell's Kitchen
9:00 The Red Band Society (NEW) (the show about the pediatric hospital wing with Octavia Spencer)

Thursday

8:00 Bones
9:00 Gracepoint (NEW)

Friday

8:00 Masterchef Junior
9:00 Utopia (a second weekly episode)

Sunday:

7:30 Bob's Burgers
8:00 The Simpsons
8:30 Brooklyn Nine Nine
9:00 Family Guy
9:30 Mulaney (NEW)

Utopia is a reality series from John de Mol, based on a popular Dutch show. Fifteen people move into an isolated location in the boonies for a year where they have to build their society from scratch. As the show goes on, some of them will be voted out and replaced with other new contestants, so it's not an elimination like other reality shows.

Gracepoint is a 10-episode series based on the British drama Broadchurch. David Tennant recreates the lead role, although it's now set in California. The show is a mystery about the frenzy that ensues after the body of a young boy is found on a California beach. Supposedly, this will not be a strict remake but will include new characters, new suspects, new storylines that will develop as the series progresses, and possibly a new resolution to the main mystery. The supporting cast includes Nick Nolte, Anna Gunn, and Jacki Weaver.

Mulaney is an eponymous comedy about John Mulaney (the SNL writer), who plays a stand-up comic trying to make the big time. He takes a job working as a writer for obnoxious game show host Martin Short. Elliot Gould costars.

I assume one of these shows (probably Sleepy Hollow) actually airs at 9:00 p.m. --Bob

For the 12 of us who still care, Glee will return at midseason when something else bites the dust.

Broadchurch was amazing. I hope they can keep the same feel in the Gracepoint remake. And I'm curious how David Tennant's attempt at an American accent will sound!

I liked Broadchurch as well. This will be a curiosity if for no other reason than to see just how bad they &$@# it up trying to "Americanize" it.

That Tennant is doing it is already surprising.
