Sad to see that's still around in North America.
Sadder still is how strong it is in Europe -- the story this week about the banana thrown on the pitch at a soccer player (who just decided to make light of it, probably the best way to handle it, by eating it) is the most recent situation. We had an African-Canadian hockey player who used to play in the minors here years ago that went to in the German DEL for more money, and he said how he was treated on the road was deplorable. Judy's two older sons now work in various positions for their father for Eisbaeren Berlin, and they say they just shake their heads at the way crowds react to an opposing player of color.

Various local sources, embarrassed at the racist boors, have pointed out that Subban's brother, who I would guess without even looking him up is about the same color as Subban, is on a farm team for....the (Boston) Bruins.

those fans should confine themselves to hockey, plenty there to hate him for.
Subban is the dirtiest player in the league, and the worst cheap shot artist I have seen since bobby clarke.
the slimeball intentionally cut at least two opposing players with his skate.
he is an embarrassment to the league.
